Haridwar - Haridwar or haridwar is Regarded as one of the sevan holiest places ( Sapta Puri) to Hindus. According to the samudra Manthan. Haridwar along with Ujjain, Nashik and prayagraj (Allahabad) is one of four sites where drops of Amrit, the elixir of immortality, accidentally spilled over from the pitcher while being carried by the celestial brid Garuda. This is manifested in the Kumbha Mela, Which is Celebrated Every 12 Years in Haridwar. During the Haridwar Kumbh Mela, Millions of Pilgrims, Devotees, and Tourists Congregate in haridwar to Perform Ritualistic Bathing on the banks of the river Ganges to wash away Their sins to attain Moksha. Brahma Kund, the Spot Where the amrit feell, is located at har ki pauri (literally, “Footsteps of the lord”) and is considered to be the most sacred ghat of haridwar.
Rishikesh –Rishikesh har been a part of the legendary ‘Kedarkhand’. Legends State that Lord Rama did Penance here for Killing Ravana, the asura king of Lanka: and Lakshmana, his Younger brother, crossed the river Ganges, at a point, where the present “ lakshman Jhula” Bridge stands today, using a jute rope bridge. The Ganges, one of one most sacred rivers to hindus, flows through Rishikesh. Here the river leaves the Shivalik Hills in the Himalayas and flows into the plains of northern india.
Dehradun – Dehradun is Located in the doon valley on the foothills of the Himalayas nestled between the river Ganges on the east and the river Yamuna on the west. The city is famous for its picturesque landscape and slightly milder climate and provides a gateway to the surrounding region.
